After the massive success of the David Kitt – Idiot Check album and tour in 2023, we wanted to continue the journey that this music had started for us. It felt very right to ask some old friends in X-Press 2 to take another listen to the album and choose a track that they might like to add some extra energy to and aim their bow at the heart of the dancefloor.

They took up the offer of the remix and went away into the X-Press 2 production cave only to emerge with x 3 exquisite dancefloor cuts to close out the 2023 Festival Season.

Ever since our first few listens to Idiot Check, we were smitten.
One of ‘the’ albums of the past couple of years and Till The End a real standout.
To then be invited to remix a track from the album, was such an honour and for us, there was an obvious choice.
So much incredible material to use for our mix. We pretty much just added our synth line and worked that into David’s original parts. We’re so happy with the results.

One exciting part of the release of Idiot Check on Warm has been seeing my music reach parts of the musical universe that I feel a real kinship with. Rocky and Diesel are a prime example of this. I've long been a fan of their work as X-Press 2 and I was delighted to hear they were into the album and were up for trying a remix. They worked some real magic on these mixes as expected and I can't wait for peeps to hear them.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
